What is Marriage Mediation?
Marriage Mediation is a specialized technique and process where a couple will work with XO Marriage Institute certified mediators, with the goal of connecting hearts and learning tools to improve communication, resolve conflict, and restore intimacy.
Marriage Mediation Intensives
The Marriage Mediation session is an 8 hour in person or Zoom session where the Mediators walk the couple through the individual belief systems they each brought into the marriage, and the couple will learn how to renew their minds (Romans 8:6-9 and Romans 12:2) in their marriage. This will require correct thinking and respectful communication with their spouse. The mediators will work to resolve recurring issues between the couple that are negatively affecting one or both of the spouses. The Mediators will teach the couple tools for resolving all kinds of disputes, and the couple will leave with not only many of their issues resolved, but also with a framework for resolving future issues.
Marriage Coaching
Perhaps you don't feel that you are ready for, or need a full marriage mediation intensive session. Marital coaching and after care meetings are a great approach to improving marriage satisfaction as well! With coaching sessions, we can break down our teaching into smaller meeting times to address any issues you are wanting to learn more about, or improve in your marriage. After care meetings are essentially follow up coaching sessions, scheduled after you and your spouse have had previous sessions with us.
Pre Marital Coaching/Wedding Officiant Services
Are you in the beginning of your marriage journey? If so, we want to help you build a strong foundation of what marriage is, what it isn't, and help you achieve the marriage relationship that you truly desire! Premarital coaching sessions can be structured flexibly to give you the tools, techniques, and frameworks that are conducive to long term marriage satisfaction. We also offer officiant services for couples we counsel, or for couples that just need a wedding officiant to perform the wedding ceremony. We love new marriages!
Marriage Mediation/Coaching vs. Marriage Counseling
Marriage Mediators are NOT state licensed Marriage Counselors, therefore they do not provide counseling. Instead, the Mediators teach proven tools, methods, and beliefs for improving marriage satisfaction. Marriage Mediators are certified by the XO Marriage Institute, which is a Christian organization focused on marriage ministry. Marriage Counselors are licensed by the State in which they practice. In Marriage Mediation, the couples and Mediators do look briefly at the past, and how that has affected each individual within the marriage, but we do not dwell there. Instead, our look into the past is for the purpose of giving the couple a view of how they got to where they are. From there, the Mediators seek to provide the couple with a clear path forward from the past into making positive next steps. One of our mediators, Brandon Fairrell, is currently in the process of obtaining his Master's Decree in Counseling and Therapy.
Who is Marriage Mediation and Marriage Coaching For?
Marriage Mediation and coaching is for ANY husband and wife who have experienced any of the following in their marriage: disagreements, marital dissatisfaction, lack of communication, lack of intimacy, discussion of divorce, lack of accountability, marital hopelessness, feelings of anger or apathy towards the other spouse, parenting differences, sex and intimacy problems, general frustration in the marriage, those couples who feel they are in a “rut, ” or those who just want to improve their marriage skills. So, that's pretty much everyone!

We believe that through the Holy Bible, we have been given the blueprint for healthy marriages. However, we believe many couples do not understand this or have not learned the proper tools to magnify their marriage.

As a family law attorney and mediator in Arkansas, Alanna has seen how divorce can affect each individual of the family broken by divorce and has become passionate about helping to save marriages BEFORE they get to divorce. Brandon is passionate about encouraging others and has enjoyed mentoring many young men as they navigate family life. He is also currently in graduate school to obtain Masters in Counseling and become a LPC.
